Infected Blood Compensation Authority

Help create and deliver a professional service that makes a difference

The Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA) was set up to pay compensation to those impacted as a result of receiving contaminated blood products in the 1970s, 80s and 90s. IBCA will work with people who have been infected and affected by these issues, and when you join us you’ll have the opportunity to shape an organisation that will make a positive difference to the lives of thousands of people throughout the UK.

We are looking for committed, compassionate professionals in the Newcastle area, who want to work for an organisation with a defined and important purpose. As a new organisation, it’s our number one goal to build and maintain trust by paying compensation to all those who are eligible.

We are building a communications and engagement team unlike any other. We want to be the most transparent organisation that sets very high communication standards and is focussed on making sure each and every person who is eligible for compensation is able to claim and receive it. As a team we collaborate, we’re creative and we work quickly. With a big job to do you’ll be striving for innovation and excellence as we build the team together.

  • Are you passionate about helping communication teams plan campaigns and projects that drive behaviour change? Are you confident in using project and work management tools and techniques to keep your colleagues working to agreed timelines? Our communications planning role could be for you.

  • Are you passionate about helping communication teams measure the effectiveness of their products and strategies? Do you enjoy identifying the insights that help set achievable but ambitious goals, and measuring how well a communications team tracks with those goals? Our insights and evaluation role could be for you.

  • This role is responsible for the news, media and digital part of IBCA’s communication team. Leading a small team of specialists, you will give clear guidance to your team, colleagues and seniors across the organisation on the best way to explain and demonstrate IBCA’s compensation delivery.
